Post-operative delirium (POD) is among the most commonly occurring complications after surgeries for older adults, describing a state of acute confusion characterized by cognitive impairments, disorientation, and disturbed perceptions

For the occasion of World Delirium Awareness Day 2025 at Charité Berlin, HCC researcher David Leimstädtner will present insights on the patient-centered design of user interfaces, which support at-risk patients' engagement in POD preventive activities, gained throughout the course of the research project Digi-POD.
