On 14 March, the BMBF-funded Empower-U research project kicked off in Berlin with a meeting of the research consortium, which includes Freie Universität Berlin, Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin, Universität Augsburg and Brainlab AG.

The Empower-U research project will investigate how the novel meta-consent model can enhance patients' informational self-determination, enabling them to make informed decisions about sharing their health data for research purposes.
