• read up on STELLAR[1] and SeqAn::T-Coffee[2]
• generated test data
• checked out STELLAR

Week 2 (01.08.2012 - 07.08.2012)

• read about segment match refinement
• started implementing 'segmentation generation'
• the dataset that I generated for testing purposes(last week) did not include random errors → changed that

Week 3 (08.08.2012 - 14.08.2012)

• completed implementation of segmentation generation
• read about progressive alignment

Week 4 (15.08.2012 - 21.08.2012)

• through with implementation of refinement and alignment

Week 5 (22.08.2012 - 28.08.2012)

• in the former sequence-generating-script, the inclusion of errors or rather the resulting error rate was sort of arbitrary → improved
• adaptation of the preliminary steps to the existing interface
