Mathematikdidaktisches Kolloquium: Marilyn Holmes (University of Otago College of Education, Neuseeland): Identification and Response to Children's Learning Needs
Marilyn Holmes will give an overview of the numeracy project in New Zealand which had a core focus of raising children's achievement through raising teacher capability. The three key components will be discussed:
- New Zealnd Numeracy Framework,
- diagnostic interview and the
- strategy teaching model.
Clips of two children in the same class will be shown so that participants cann see how a teacher would need to differentiate planning of mathematics lessons to teach to their needs.
