Communication at HCC regarding Coronavirus
News from Mar 17, 2020
Due to the current situation, the HCC: Team is working entirely remotely. Thus, we experience the meaning of computer-supported cooperative work and all the social aspects of working remotely. In the following, we provide the most crucial information.
Meetings
Please note, all scheduled meetings take place but remotely. Please contact the HCC team member for the favored communication platform.
Teaching
There are no lectures until April 20, 2020. The department closed all pool rooms and seminar rooms. The examination office closed as well.
Research Group Seminar
The research group seminar takes place remotely, but we change the format. We will provide a link to a paper or a scientific talk. Before the meeting, each person reads the article or watches the talk, and we discuss the content and existing questions, remarks remotely. Please contact Alexa Schlegel in case you would like to participate.
BSc/MSc Theses
We offer no thesis defenses until April 20, 2020. All existing appointments will be postponed. The deadlines for submitting theses within the context of Bachelor's and Master's programs will be suspended from 12 March 2020 until the return to regular study activities (but at least until 11 May 2020).
Administrative Issues
The HCC:Office is completely closed. Please send an e-mail to Melanie Siering if you have any questions.
Events
We canceled all planned events until July 20, 2020.
We update this page regularly. Please also check the information page of Freie Universität Berlin on a regular base for further updates: https://www.fu-berlin.de/sites/coronavirus/index.html
