"Entity:City" Exhibition opening (Feb 12, 2020)
News from Jan 16, 2020
February 12th, 6pm: The design studio project „Entity:City“ invites to their exhibition opening, which will be presented by CityLAB, Platz der Luftbrücke 4, 12101 Berlin.
During the winter term 2019/20, the interdisciplinary teams of design (Weissensee School of Art and Design) and computer science (Freie Universität Berlin) students researched current challenges in Berlin's urban environment: issues ranging from mobility, cultural identity, to road safety and everyday stressors. Data from residents and urban systems served as the basis for the development of neo-analog products. These products return actions into the tangible and physical urban space, to improve or create new forms of participation and interaction.
The semester project was supervised by Prof. Dr. Claudia Müller-Birn (Human-Centered Computing, FU Berlin), Prof. Thomas Ness (Embodied Interactions, khb) and lecturer Judith Glaser (MA Design) and is part of „Matters of Activity. Image Space Material“
