Mathematics of Data Sciences
The research group "Mathematics for Data Science" is developing and utilizing mathematical and computational methods for data-driven research in computational biology, –medicine and public health. The group is both located at the Robert-Koch Institute (Project group 5) as well as at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at the Freie Universität (FU) Berlin.
The group develops methods for interpreting complex data from next- and third generation sequencing, time-lapse microscopy, as well as public health surveillance. Moreover, we develop multi-scale numerical methods for pharmacometrics, infection research and public health decision making.
