Stastical Pitfalls and Misconceptions
When doing research, and especially evaluation of results, great care needs to applied.
It is easy to draw conclusions, that may not necessarily align with what the data or the methods used actually offer.
Such errors may not even be caused by a nefarious nature, yet the possible negative consequences can still follow.
To help avoiding such pitfalls and decreasing the amount of misconceptions held with regard to stastical methods (significance, p-value, mean vs median), a collection of interesting external ressources can be found here.
Notably, while these ressources can help, they can never replace the care and effort required to ensure that methods are held to the highest scientific standards.
