New member: Katrin Glinka

Welcome to our new member Katrin Glinka. Katrin is now head of the Human-Centered Data Laboratory (HCDL).
Katrin Glinka is responsible for the conception and establishment of the HCDL that will function as a „Living Lab“ at the intersection of computer sciences, the humanities, and social sciences. Katrin is a cultural scientist with several years of experience in interdisciplinary projects. Her research and work is focused on digital technologies and data-driven approaches and their potential for re-thinking and re-configuring methods and practices in the humanities and in cultural institutions. From 2017 until 2020 she was the Scientific Project Lead of the digital museum project „museum4punkt0“ at the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation (SPK) in Berlin. From 2014 until 2017 she worked as a research associate in the project „VIKUS – Visualising Cultural Collections“ at the University of Applied Sciences in Potsdam where she also taught design and media theory. She holds an M.A. in Cultural Sciences from Leuphana Universität Lüneburg and is completing her PhD at the Department of Cultural History and Theory at Humboldt Universität Berlin.
