CRC 1114 Colloquium & Lectures
CRC Colloquium
To foster the development of a joint communication and common language there are two back-to-back "What-is?"-presentations per Colloquium date (15 min talk + 15 min Q&A). In so doing we have an interesting twist on this scheme, that enforces the language-development even more decisively: the presentations are given by a non-expert in the respective field, who is supported by an expert in her or his preparations and in answering the questions that arise during the talk.
CRC Lectures
Of course, CRC 1114 has ambitious research goals and needs a platform for in-depth scientific exchange internally as well as with external guests. To not sacrifice this important communication channel when the Colloquium is re-oriented as described above, we have decided to now officially adopt the - thus far inofficial - format of extra "CRC Lectures". These are specialist seminars, organized typically for smaller groups and with a flexible schedule that is set up according to demand. External guests can be supported through CRC resources as usual for these events.
