Within the software project "research library" the students (Taras Kolba, Benjamin Kahl, Max Göhner, Denis Drescher, Dominik Bechinie, Justus (left the team), Prof. Müller-Birn (from left to right)) of the Institute of Computer Science from the Freie University Berlin are designing and implementing a new software that allows members of the non-profit organisation Animal Charity Evaluators (ACE) to collect, search, and organise their literature that is related to animal welfare. The research library will be publicly available and can help to improve policy making for animal welfare but also allow journalists to inform the public by relating to existing to research results. This project has been initiated by Denis Drescher and is scientifically guided by Prof. Claudia Müller-Birn.
