Since the beginning in 2017, the CRC 1114 is among the supporters of the “I, Scientist” conference on gender, career paths and networking, organized by the Lise-Meitner-Gesellschaft e.V. This year's conference will take place on 20 and 21 September 2019 at TU Berlin. Registration is open until 5 August 2019.

The first conference took place from 12 to 14 May 2017 at Freie Universität Berlin and the second conference on 25 and 26 May 2018 in Berlin-Adlershof.

The conference aims to increase the visibility of female role models in the natural sciences, to introduce young researchers to a variety of career options and provide them with networking opportunities, and to raise awareness of gender-based biases. The conference is designed and organized by PhD students and young researchers in the natural sciences and mathematics for their peers.
