Scaling of membrane superstructures
Michael Kozlov is a Professor at the Department of Physiology and Pharmacology, Tel Aviv University, Israel. His research laboratory works in the field of theoretical mechano-biophysics and models the mechanisms of shaping and transformation of intracellular membranes by specialized proteins that include generation of large membrane curvatures, membrane fission and fusion. The goal is to reveal the common mechanistic themes in the function of membrane shaping proteins acting in different intracellular systems.
