Participation of the CRC 1114 at the 26th Berlin Mathematics Day - Saturday, May 06, 2023
Several CRC 1114 members have been involved in organizing the 26th Berlin Mathematics Day with a variety of roles and tasks.
Jun. Prof. Dr. Ana Djurdjevac (FU) joined the organizing committee, Prof. Dr. Carsten Hartmann (BTU) and Prof. Dr. Marita Thomas (FU) contributed to the competition tasks and Prof. Ralf Kornhuber (FU) could be found among the lecturers. Prof. Dr. Carsten Hartmann – CRC 1114 member and professor at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg – did welcome his own guests to the 2nd Day of Mathematics at the Central Campus Cottbus on May, 6th as well.
The Berlin Mathematics Day (Berliner Tag der Mathematik) is an annual event that rotates through the involved institutions and offers information as well as opportunities to interact with science to students, teachers and all citizens interested in mathematics in the Berlin-Brandenburg region. The mathematical institutes of Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Freie Universität Berlin, Technische Universität Berlin, Berlin University of Applied Sciences, the Zuse Institute Berlin, and the Weierstrass Institute for Applied Analysis and Stochastics contributed to the organization and program. More than 150 volunteer students and staff from the institutes supported the event, which took place in its 26th iteration.
