Linear kinetic equations model many physical phenomena, e.g. radiative transport, but remain challenging to simulate. The entropy- based moment method is a discretization which has attractive theoretical properties but so far no practical implementation. We will investigate several new techniques to achieve such an implementation including high-order methods, semi-implicit time integration, and partitioning of the angular domain.
