Even though basic concepts have been available for decades, fluctuating hydrodynamics recenty attracted more and more attention as a general approach to coarse graining in molecular dynamics, upscaling of agent systems, discrete/continuous modelling or even deep learning. These new perspectives are accompanied by theoretical investigations of novel solutions concepts and regularization techniques.
The goals of the planned First Berlin - Leipzig Workshop on Fluctuating Hydrodynamics is to review the physical and mathematical background, to discuss recent developments, and to link and synchronize related projects in Berlin and Leipzig.
