High symmetry dense packings of trees and lines in the two-dimensional hyperbolic plane can be projected to triply-periodic minimal surfaces. The resulting three-dimensional structures are space-filling, symmetric and entangled structures composed of multiple networks or filaments.
In this talk, I will discuss the construction and characterisation of these complex entangled
structures alongside applications from star terpolymer self-assembly to skin swelling.
